Lorraine Garcia, communications manager with the district, says the calendar is meant to be both functional and educational. Each month offers guidance homeowners can put into action, from adjusting watering schedules to caring for perennials suited to desert conditions.

Unlike annual plants, the perennials featured throughout the calendar are well-adapted to the Coachella Valley climate, making them a smart and sustainable choice for local landscapes. The artwork showcased in the calendar was created by CVWD staff, highlighting the creativity and talent within the district.

The calendars are available at no cost while supplies last. Residents can pick one up in person at CVWD offices or request a copy online to have it mailed directly to them.
