BIGHORN Cares distributed more than $800,000 to 53 Coachella Valley nonprofit organizations at its annual Donor and Recipient Awards Dinner on Tuesday at The Vault at BIGHORN in Palm Desert.

The grants went to organizations including Desert Arc, Animal Samaritans, Hidden Harvest, the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, and FIND Food Bank. According to the press release, this year's grant cycle drew funding requests totaling $4.8 million from 200 nonprofits across the valley.

"Our goal is to invest in projects that deliver real, measurable outcomes," said Joe Kirby, Chairman of BIGHORN Cares. "These grants are a reflection of our belief in the local organizations doing essential work and our commitment to helping them build a stronger future for the region."

BIGHORN Cares operates as part of BIGHORN Golf Club Charities and has been running for 11 years. Over that time, the program has donated more than $7 million to support 706 projects for local nonprofits.
