Gubernatorial Candidates Speak at Palm Springs Stadium

The California Winter League took politics to the ballpark this afternoon, hosting its first “across the aisle” event featuring California gubernatorial candidates Chad Bianco and Ian Calderon.

Between innings, the two candidates answered questions with NBC Palm Springs’ Tim O’Brien, sharing their visions for improving life in California and outlining how they would bring their priorities to the governor’s office. Public safety, leadership, and the direction of the state were among the key topics discussed.

Both candidates emphasized the importance of change in Sacramento and the need for new ideas as California looks ahead to its next chapter. Following the on-field discussion, Bianco and Calderon met with fans and voters, answering questions and sharing information at their booths throughout the event.

California’s gubernatorial election will be held in November.
