Cathedral City LGBT+ Days Returns for 10th Year With Festival, Parade and Headliner David Archuleta

Cathedral City LGBT+ Days kicks off its 10th anniversary celebration March 6-8, bringing a weekend of performances, a parade and community events to the Coachella Valley.

The event, billed as California's first Pride celebration of the year, features headliner David Archuleta at Saturday's festival along with drag performances hosted by Morgan McMichaels, live bands and local entertainers. The festival runs from noon to 9 p.m. at the Community Amphitheater, with free admission before 4 p.m.

The weekend opens Friday evening with a pro-equality rally and flag raising at City Hall, followed by a drone show at 8:30 p.m. Saturday morning brings the inaugural CommUNITY Strong Walk, a charity event benefiting the Human Rights Campaign, starting at 9 a.m.

Sunday wraps up with the annual bed race and parade from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a closing bingo party at Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City.

A kickoff event on Tuesday, March 3, features the Cat City Drag Race competition, where contestants compete in runway, lip sync and other challenges.
