Del Webb Pet Club Hosts Free Vaccine Clinic and Pet Parade with Animal Samaritans
Del Webb Palm Desert's Pet Club partnered with Animal Samaritans over the weekend to offer free dog vaccinations, an earthquake preparedness seminar, and a pet parade for community members.
The event, now in its second year, was organized by Pet Club President Lucy Nigrelli as a way to provide accessible pet care for residents who may have difficulty traveling to veterinary services.
Animal Samaritans CEO Tom Snyder said the clinic was partly a gesture of appreciation. "This is a great event for us. We're really happy to come out and support the Pet Lovers Club and Sun City Palm Desert community," Snyder said. "Part of this is a thank you for them for all their support. They've done some fundraisers for us in the recent past, and we committed to providing these free services."
The nonprofit also provided information on earthquake preparedness for pets, a timely topic given recent seismic activity in the desert.
