Lionel Richie, Earth, Wind & Fire to Perform at Acrisure Arena in August

Acrisure Arena announced Monday that Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire will bring their joint tour to Palm Desert this summer.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. It's part of an expanded run for the "Sing A Song All Night Long" tour, which is adding 13 new U.S. dates beginning May 23 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 30 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Ticket prices are unknown at this time. 

Richie has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide and won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards. Earth, Wind & Fire, founded in 1969 by Maurice White, is one of the best-selling bands of all time.
