Goodwill Reports Record $7 Billion in Revenue as Shoppers Look to Save

Goodwill posted more than $7 billion in revenue last year, marking a record high for the world's largest thrift store chain. The figure represents a 7% increase over 2024.

Analysts point to economic uncertainty, sluggish job growth and rising costs as factors pushing more consumers toward secondhand shopping.

Goodwill collects roughly 6 billion pounds of donated goods each year. Items that don't sell in stores are sent to outlet locations, where they're offered at steeper discounts.

The nonprofit says it plans to open at least 50 new stores across the country this year.
