Firebirds Look to Climb Pacific Division Standings in Home Matchup Against Colorado

The Coachella Valley Firebirds return home tonight for a pivotal Pacific Division showdown against the Colorado Eagles at Acrisure Arena.

After hosting division rivals San Jose and Ontario, the Firebirds now face another top contender in Colorado. Entering the night just one to two points out of third place, a victory would allow Coachella Valley to make a significant move up the standings.

Colorado arrives in the Coachella Valley looking to snap a four-game slump, giving the Firebirds an opportunity to capitalize. Meanwhile, Coachella Valley has been on a strong run, earning points in seven straight games and winning six of their last seven contests.

Despite the momentum, the Firebirds face challenges. Goaltender Nikke Kokko remains sidelined with a lower-body injury, meaning Victor Östman is expected to start in net. The team is also monitoring the possible return of Oscar Fisker Molgaard, but not in tonight's game.

The Eagles have proven to be a difficult opponent this season, holding a 2–1 advantage in three previous meetings. Known for their speed and physical play, Colorado has given the Firebirds trouble, making tonight’s matchup an important test.

Fans can begin coverage at 6 p.m. on My Firebirds TV and KPSE. A full recap and postgame reaction will air tonight at 11 p.m. on NBC Palm Springs.

With playoff positioning on the line and home ice advantage behind them, the Firebirds will look to seize the moment and keep their momentum rolling against the Eagles.
