South Palm Canyon Bridge Night Work Ends Early as Gas Line Installation Wraps Up

Palm Springs officials announced Wednesday that nighttime construction on South Palm Canyon Drive has wrapped up ahead of schedule, with gas line installation now complete.

The overnight closures had been extended through Wednesday night into Thursday morning, but crews finished early. South Palm Canyon Drive will now remain open at night, and work returns to regular daytime construction hours.

The bridge project itself isn't finished, though. City officials still recommend drivers detour to South Belardo Road while daytime work continues. Businesses in the project area remain open and accessible throughout construction.
