CVUSD Students Spread Positivity During the Great Kindness Challenge

Students at Valley View Elementary School in Coachella are taking part in the national Great Kindness Challenge, a weeklong program designed to inspire compassion, empathy, and respect. Classrooms are filled with uplifting messages, kindness pledges, and student-created artwork encouraging simple acts like offering compliments and helping others. Educators say the initiative goes beyond lessons, teaching children to care for one another and create a positive school culture. Students shared that spreading kindness can brighten someone’s day, ease conflicts, and even turn strangers into friends—proving that small gestures can make a big difference. Join the movement by practicing one act of kindness today—whether it’s a compliment, a helping hand, or a simple smile—and help spread positivity in your school and community.
