King Charles shares environmental philosophy in new documentary debuting on Amazon Prime

King Charles is offering a personal look at his decades-long environmental advocacy in a new documentary titled “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision,” set to premiere globally on Amazon Prime on February 6.

The 90-minute film explores the monarch’s belief that humanity must reconnect with nature to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and other environmental challenges. In the documentary, Charles explains his philosophy of “harmony,” saying people are part of nature — not separate from it — and that this understanding is key to protecting the planet.

The film was produced in collaboration with the King’s Foundation and traces different phases of Charles’ life as an environmental campaigner, highlighting projects he championed long before sustainability became mainstream. These include Dumfries House in Scotland, Highgrove in England’s Cotswolds, and Poundbury, a town designed around principles of sustainable urban planning.

The documentary premiered Wednesday evening at Windsor Castle, marking the first film premiere ever held at a royal residence. Stars in attendance included Judi Dench, Kenneth Branagh, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Kate Winslet, who narrates the film and serves as an ambassador for the King’s Foundation.

Throughout the documentary, Charles reflects on earlier speeches — including a warning about plastic pollution in 1970 — and acknowledges that his environmental views were once met with skepticism. He also emphasizes that climate change is only part of the problem, pointing to biodiversity loss as another urgent threat.

Filmed over six months across four continents, the documentary showcases projects in countries including Afghanistan, Guyana, and India, all reflecting the King’s vision of sustainability through community-driven solutions.

Despite expressing concern that progress has been too slow, Charles remains hopeful that meaningful change is still possible if action is taken quickly.
