Pet of the Week: Meet Doodle!

Valerie Kattz from Animal Samaritans joined us this morning with Doodle, the shelter's longest resident who's been waiting for her forever home for a year and a half.

Doodle arrived at the no-kill shelter in July 2024 as a puppy from a hoarding situation. While all the other dogs from that rescue were adopted quickly, this sweet, affectionate girl is still waiting for her perfect match.

Don't let the wait fool you—Doodle is a gem. She's well-trained (sits on command, great in the car), loves giving kisses, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Her best friend at the shelter was a pug! She does need a cat-free home though and an active person who will take her on walks.
