Rescued Kitten “Panda” Thrives After Being Found in Dumpster on New Year’s Eve
Before we go, the Coachella Valley Animal Campus is shared its latest rescue involving a kitten now named Panda.
On New Year’s Eve, a garbage truck driver spotted the small kitten trapped inside a dumpster at a nearby business. With rainwater slowly collecting inside, the situation quickly became dangerous. CVAC officials say the soaked kitten was in need of immediate help.
Panda was brought to the shelter, where staff worked to warm her up and provide medical care. She was treated for a minor eye infection and given time to rest and recover.
CVAC officials say Panda’s story highlights the importance of community members looking out for animals in need.
