Bert Kreischer Brings Family Chaos to Netflix in New Sitcom "Free Bert"

Comedian Bert Kreischer has built a career on being shirtless and unfiltered—and now he's bringing that energy to a Netflix sitcom about his family.

"Free Bert," now streaming on Netflix, follows a fictionalized version of Kreischer navigating family life and personal identity across six half-hour episodes. Kreischer's real-life wife served as an executive producer on the project.

Kreischer said he'd long wanted to turn his home life into a series. "I always wanted to do a sitcom about my family," he said. "I felt like my family was such a rich gold mine of material, and not just them, but like how I interact with them."

The show leans into Kreischer's signature self-deprecation. One scene features his character in therapy, exploring why he's compelled to take his shirt off—something the comedian admits he doesn't fully understand himself.

"I over showcase my vulnerabilities," Kreischer said. "I hope it pays off."

All six episodes of "Free Bert" are now streaming on Netflix.
