Cone Zone Alert Issued for Road Work in Cathedral City

Cathedral City’s Public Works Department is issuing a cone zone alert for commuters and residents ahead of scheduled road work tomorrow morning.

Crews will be grinding asphalt bumps at the intersection of Cathedral Canyon Drive and Donna Shore Drive beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing through 1 p.m.

During the work, one lane will be closed at a time while traffic flow is maintained in all directions. City officials say this approach is designed to minimize disruption for drivers traveling through the area.

Motorists are advised to expect brief delays and use extra caution while passing through the work zone. Officials also encourage drivers to slow down and follow posted signs and directions from crews on site.

The city thanks residents for their patience as crews work to improve road conditions and safety.
