Jerry's SoCal Weather Briefing on Monday, February 2, 2026!

A large area of high pressure over the Southwest will once again ensure peak temperatures in the Coachella Valley will be running about a dozen degrees above normal today through Wednesday.

You can expect mostly sunny skies and lower-80s today, followed by clear skies and middle-80s for your Tuesday and Wednesday.

As an upper-level low parks itself just to the Southwest of San Diego County, this system will guide mid-and-upper level clouds over the Southland later this week. Because surface moisture will remain dry, no rain is expected with this disturbance.

During this period, high temperatures we cool, but only slightly. While Valley midday temps will peak in the upper-70s on Thursday and Friday, those numbers will still be running several degrees above-average for early-February.
