Wall Street Rallies Monday as Dow Jumps More Than 500 Points in NYSE Trading

It was a winning day for stocks Monday as markets finished solidly higher during trading in New York.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average led the way, climbing 515.19 points to close at 49,407.66 — a gain of just over 1 percent. The S&P 500 also posted gains, rising 37.41 points to finish at 6,976.44, up about half a percent.
Meanwhile, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite advanced 130.29 points, closing at 23,592.11 for a gain of 0.56 percent.
Monday’s rally capped a positive session on Wall Street, with investors pushing stocks higher across all three major indexes. Market watchers continue to track earnings reports, economic signals, and broader global trends as February trading gets underway.
Financial analysts say the across-the-board gains suggest renewed confidence among investors, at least in the short term, following recent market volatility.
