The Kelly Clarkson Show to End After Current Season as Clarkson Steps Back to Focus on Family

Some major entertainment news this morning: The Kelly Clarkson Show will officially end after its current on-air season.

Kelly Clarkson and NBCUniversal made the announcement Monday. In a statement, Clarkson said she made the difficult decision so she can prioritize time with her two young children.

The announcement also comes following a challenging year for Clarkson and her family. Her former husband and the father of her children, Brandon Blackstock, died from cancer last year.

Production on season seven of the syndicated daytime talk show will continue as planned, with new episodes expected to air through the fall.

Since debuting in 2019, The Kelly Clarkson Show has become a staple of daytime television, earning multiple Daytime Emmy Awards and building a loyal audience with its mix of celebrity interviews, musical performances, and heartfelt conversations.

While no replacement programming has been announced, Clarkson expressed gratitude to viewers and her production team, saying the experience of hosting the show has been deeply meaningful — but that her focus now is on being present for her family.
