Palm Springs Fire Foundation Hosts Inaugural Golf Fundraiser Friday

The Palm Springs Fire Foundation is holding its first-ever golf fundraiser this Friday, Feb. 7, at Indian Canyons Golf Course.

The foundation works directly with the Palm Springs Fire Department, using money raised to support community outreach efforts and provide assistance to families of fallen firefighters. When tragedy strikes a neighboring agency, the foundation uses its funds to help affected families during their time of need.

The tournament will feature prizes, a raffle and games throughout the course.

"This golf tournament is just a way to kind of bolster those funds, so we're able to give back to people in a more meaningful way," said Andrew Shade, a firefighter-paramedic with the Palm Springs Fire Department.
