NBC Palm Springs Sports Team Hits Radio Row as Super Bowl Week Kicks Off in San Francisco

Super Bowl week is heating up, and fans are already flooding the Bay Area for one of the biggest sports celebrations of the year.

NBC Palm Springs Sports reporters Tim O’Brien and Caitlyn Kelley touched down early and headed straight to Radio Row at the Moscone Center, where athletes, celebrities, podcasters, and major sports media outlets are gathering ahead of the big game.

The NBC Palm Springs Sports Desk, powered by Agua Caliente Casinos, will bring viewers wall-to-wall Super Bowl coverage from now through Sunday.

From celebrity sightings to athlete interviews, the atmosphere on Radio Row is already buzzing. Tim and Caitlyn say the experience feels more open and interactive than past years, with fans and media sharing the same space — making it easier than ever to catch favorite sports personalities up close.

Although the game itself will be played at Levi’s Stadium, events are spread across the region, with teams staying in San Jose and much of the fan action centered in downtown San Francisco.

They’ve already spotted plenty of Seattle Seahawks fans making the trip, adding to the rivalry energy despite the hometown San Francisco 49ers not being in the game. One standout moment included meeting “Captain Seahawk,” a fully decked-out superfan who drew crowds with face paint and team spirit.

Among the surprise celebrity sightings: Robert Irwin, who even made an appearance with a live snake — a moment Caitlyn called unforgettable.

The team also caught up with Sam Darnold earlier in the day, with more coverage set to air on NBC Palm Springs.

Tim and Caitlyn will continue bringing viewers exclusive interviews, fan reactions, and behind-the-scenes Super Bowl moments all week long.
