Lyft Launches Teen Ride-Sharing Service in 200+ U.S. Cities

Lyft rolled out a new ride-sharing option Monday designed specifically for teenagers, expanding into more than 200 cities including Atlanta and New York.
The service, called Lyft Teen, allows parents with verified Lyft accounts to create profiles for their teenage children and request rides on their behalf. Parents can track their teen's location in real time through the app during each trip.
Only drivers who meet what the company calls its highest standards will be allowed to transport teens. That includes passing background checks, maintaining safe driving records, and having positive feedback from previous riders.
