Palm Desert Accepting Applications for City Commission Seats

Palm Desert is accepting applications for residents interested in serving on city boards, commissions, and committees that advise the City Council on issues ranging from architecture to public safety.

Terms begin July 1, 2026, and most positions require full-time residency within city limits. Some boards may require specific qualifications or technical expertise. Applications are due by April 30, 2025, though the city accepts submissions year-round.

Available positions include seats on the Architectural Review Commission, Cultural Arts Committee, Housing Commission, Planning Commission, and Parks and Recreation Committee, among others. Some seats are currently held by members whose terms are expiring, while others are vacant.
