Asher Angel stars in new romantic comedy debuting this week on Tubi

A new romantic comedy starring Asher Angel is making its streaming debut this week on Tubi, blending humor, heart, and a classic fake-dating twist.

“Kissing Is the Easy Part” stars Angel alongside Paris Berelc in a story centered on Flora, a free-spirited and creative young woman who has little interest in college or long-term plans. Concerned about her future, her parents come up with an unusual idea: enlist an ambitious overachiever to romance her and inspire her to take academics seriously.

That’s where Sean comes in. Played by Asher Angel, Sean is a focused student whose life revolves around getting into his dream school, MIT. After losing his father, Sean channels his energy into academics and supporting his family, leaving little room for distractions — until Flora re-enters his life.

Flora and Sean have known each other since childhood, but their new arrangement quickly blurs the line between pretending and real feelings. As the plan spirals, both characters are forced to confront what they truly want for their futures — and whether honesty might cost them the connection they’ve built.

Paris Berelc describes Flora as reckless, vibrant, and full of creativity, while Angel says Sean’s ambition and sense of responsibility define his world. Their real-life friendship helped make the on-screen chemistry feel natural, adding authenticity to the evolving romance.
