Moonridge Room Becomes Big Bear’s Unofficial Winter Olympics Watch Party Spot
As the Winter Olympics captivate audiences around the world, Big Bear’s Moonridge Corridor is stepping into the spotlight as Southern California’s unofficial Games village.
The Moonridge Room is inviting locals and visitors alike to gather for food, drinks and nonstop Olympic coverage. The neighborhood bar and restaurant is even getting into the spirit with a creative twist — serving pressed burgers designed to resemble curling rocks.
Owner Kara Flietstra, who also operates Dank Donuts up the street, says the goal is to create a welcoming community space where people can connect over sports and good food. The Moonridge Room recently celebrated its one-year anniversary and continues to host live music and themed events throughout the year.
The venue is open Thursday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering a cozy mountain setting to catch all the Winter Games action.
