Taste & Sounds of Cathedral City Kicks Off 8-Week Concert Series at Community Amphitheater
The Taste & Sounds of Cathedral City concert series is officially back, bringing live music, local food vendors, and plenty of dancing to the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater.
The eight-week event kicks off this week and runs every Tuesday through March 31st, offering residents and visitors a lively evening of entertainment under the desert sky.
Opening night featured the band Radio Ready, performing hits spanning the 1950s through the 1990s. The crowd quickly filled the amphitheater lawn, with families and friends enjoying the music and festive atmosphere.
Ryan Hunt, communications manager for Cathedral City, says the series has become a popular community tradition. In addition to Radio Ready, upcoming performers include The Dreamboats on February 24th, a fan-favorite group known for its energetic retro performances. The full entertainment lineup is available at DiscoverCathedralCity.com.
Food is also a big part of the event. This week’s vendors include El Reaper Chicken and Fat Boy Tacos, with a rotating selection of food trucks scheduled throughout the series. Organizers say the event is also an opportunity to support local small businesses.
With mild temperatures and dry weather expected in the coming days, conditions remain ideal for outdoor gatherings. Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the free weekly celebration of music, food, and community spirit.
