Average Riverside County Gas Rises For 20th Time in 21 Days

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Riverside County rose today for the 20th time in 21 days,
increasing 2.9 cents to $4.404, its highest amount since Dec. 8.
The average price has increased 28.1 cents over the past 21 days,
including 2.2 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price
Information Service. It rose six consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent
on Jan. 28 and resumed rising the next day.
The average price is 12.2 cents more than one week ago and 28 cents
higher than one month ago, but 15.1 cents less than one year ago. It has
dropped $1.969 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the eighth time in 10 days,
increasing 1.6 cents to $2.937. It has risen 6.3 cents over the past 10 days,
including 1.9 cents on Tuesday. It rose five consecutive days, dropped two-
tenths of a cent on Saturday and one-tenth of a cent on Sunday and resumed
rising on Monday.
The national average price is 5 cents more than one week ago and 14.2
cents higher than one month ago, but 20.4 cents less than one year ago. It has
dropped $2.079 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
