Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Close Lower as Wall Street Ends Wednesday in the Red

Wall Street gave up early gains and finished slightly lower Wednesday as major indexes closed in the red.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the day at 50,121.40, down 66.74 points, or 0.13%.

The S&P 500 closed at 6,941.47, slipping 0.34 points, essentially flat at 0.00%.

The Nasdaq Composite finished at 23,066.47, falling 36.01 points, or 0.16%.

Stocks had moved higher earlier in the session before reversing course by the closing bell. Investors continue to monitor economic data and corporate earnings as markets look for direction in the weeks ahead.
