Jewish Federation of the Desert Hosts Golf Day at Tamarisk Country Club to Support Local Families
The Jewish Federation of the Desert is continuing its mission to strengthen the local Jewish community — and this week, that effort played out on the greens of Tamarisk Country Club.
Community members gathered for the organization’s annual Federation Day, a fundraising event designed to raise awareness and support for the Federation’s programs throughout the Coachella Valley. NBC Palm Springs anchor Mark Mester was on hand for the day’s activities.
Participants enjoyed a full slate of events including golf, racquet sports, card games, lunch and a cocktail reception — all in support of a cause centered on community care.
Organizers say the event represents more than just a fundraiser. It’s an opportunity for members to pool their resources and passion to help neighbors in need.
The Jewish Federation of the Desert provides summer camp scholarships, emergency financial assistance and other critical support services to families facing hardship. The organization also funds educational programs and advocacy efforts that promote Jewish values, heritage and connection across the Valley.
Leaders say their goal is not only to help individuals and families get through difficult times, but to ensure they have the tools and opportunities to truly thrive.
Federation Day serves as a reminder of the power of community — neighbors coming together to support one another and invest in a stronger future.
