Team USA Captures Six Medals Across Multiple Events at Milan Winter Olympics
Team USA is stacking up hardware at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, collecting six medals across the mountains and the ice — including several historic firsts.
In mixed doubles curling, Cory Thiesse became the first American woman to win an Olympic curling medal. She and partner Korey Dropkin also became the first U.S. duo to reach the podium in the event, taking silver.
"Very proud of being able to be Olympic silver medalists together," Dropkin said.
Ben Ogden added another silver for the Americans in men's cross-country skiing, finishing second in the individual sprint and snapping a 50-year U.S. medal drought in the sport. Alex Hall also earned silver in men's freeski slopestyle.
On the bronze side, Jackie Wiles and Paula Moltzan teamed up for third place in women's alpine combined, while Ashley Farquharson's luge run made her just the second American woman ever to medal in the event.
The U.S. women's hockey team capped off the preliminary round with a dominant 5-0 win over rival Canada. The Americans enter the medal round as the top seed.
