The Ten Tenors Celebrate 30 Years with Special Performances at McCallum Theatre

The Ten Tenors are celebrating 30 years of music with a world tour stop right here in the Coachella Valley.

Desert Entertainment contributor Tod Macofsky spoke with group members Ben Clark and Cameron Barclay ahead of their five-show run at the McCallum Theatre. The internationally recognized vocal ensemble began in 1995 at the Brisbane Conservatorium and has grown into a global sensation over the past three decades.

The anniversary tour actually began last year in Germany and has continued into 2026, with the group spending the past several weeks performing across the United States.

While the name might suggest a strictly classical performance, the Ten Tenors say audiences can expect much more than opera. Although their roots are grounded in classical training, their repertoire has expanded dramatically over the years. Today’s shows blend opera with pop, disco, Motown, and rock — creating what performers describe as a full-scale musical celebration.

During their appearance, the group offered a sneak preview performance, showcasing the powerful harmonies and stage presence that have made them fan favorites worldwide.

The Ten Tenors will perform five times at the McCallum Theatre this weekend. Tickets are available through the theater’s website at mccallumtheatre.org.
