Modernism Week returns to Palm Springs celebrating iconic midcentury modern design and architecture
Modernism Week is back in Palm Springs, celebrating the iconic midcentury modern architecture, design, and culture that helped define the city’s global reputation.
The annual event invites visitors to step inside some of the region’s most celebrated homes and buildings, offering a closer look at the architectural style that transformed Palm Springs into a design destination.
Attendees can explore historic properties through self-guided tours or join expert-led group experiences. Knowledgeable guides share the stories behind the homes, the architects who designed them, and the cultural movement that made midcentury modernism a defining feature of the desert landscape.
This year, featured homes are drawing strong interest from visitors eager to see design innovation up close. Partners at H3K Home and Design say the response has been especially rewarding.
“It’s so great because you work on the house for so long and then to get all this amazing feedback and all the smiling faces when they come in,” one partner said. “It’s just wonderful.”
Organizers say there is a noticeable energy surrounding the event this year, with many guests coming not just to admire architecture, but to ask questions, find inspiration, and bring new design ideas back home.
