Search for Savannah Guthrie's Mother Enters Third Week as Investigators Test DNA Evidence

The search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, has now stretched into its third week—with investigators still working to piece together what happened to her.

Guthrie has been missing since the early morning hours of February 1st.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office says they've collected DNA from someone other than Guthrie—or those close to her—from her property. They're now working to identify who that DNA belongs to.

Investigators are also hoping to match the DNA to a glove found about two miles from Guthrie's home. The glove looks similar to one worn by a person captured on camera at her front door.

The neighborhood surrounding Guthrie's house remains a potential crime scene, with investigators fanning out for several miles and testing dozens of pieces of potential evidence.

Over the weekend, deputies blocked off a road leading to a home believed to be connected to the investigation. Neighbors saw SWAT trucks and undercover vehicles enter the area. One person was questioned and released.

Separately, another person was detained and a car was towed at a fast food restaurant—but no arrests have been made.

The family last posted publicly about a week ago, saying they will never give up on her.
