An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, February 17, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under a mix of Sun and clouds this afternoon with below-normal high temperatures in the middle-60s.

After the system which brought us precipitation last night into this morning exits to the East, it will be replaced by a second system which will provide more rain, snow and stronger winds to the Coachella Valley area between late-tonight into Wednesday morning.

A Wind Advisory has been posted through Wednesday afternoon for the very West end of the Coachella Valley into the San Gorgonio Pass, the Inland Empire, High Desert and area mountains.

Also, that Winter Storm Warning continues for our mountain through Wednesday at noon. Idyllwild will experience rain changing to flurries while The Tram could pick-up an additional foot of new snow by Thursday.

A third frontal boundary is forecast to swing through the Southwest on Thursday. Although there will be precipitation over mountains and from the Inland Empire to the Coast, the Valley will only pick-up a few very light showers... if anything at all.

The Valley will see mostly sunny skies with drier air on Friday.
