Palm Springs International Jazz Festival Returns This Week with Star-Studded Lineup

The Palm Springs International Jazz Festival is back, bringing world-class jazz to the desert this Thursday through Sunday.

The festival kicks off on February 19 with an exclusive cocktail party at the Franz Alexander House. Performances run throughout the weekend at both the Annenberg Theatre and the newly renovated Plaza Theatre.

Among the headliners is the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the iconic New Orleans ensemble bringing what organizers call "timeless grooves and second-line spirit" to the Plaza Theatre Saturday night.

Sunday's lineup features Grammy-winning vocalist Lisa Fischer, best known for her work with the Rolling Stones and Sting. She'll take the Plaza Theatre stage at 4 p.m. alongside her band Grand Baton for an afternoon of jazz and soul.

Pianist and vocalist Ben Sidran performs Friday afternoon at the Annenberg Theatre, though that show is already sold out.

These are just some of the performers scheduled throughout the four-day event.

Tickets and the full lineup are available at psjazzfest.org.
