Team USA Adds to Medal Count as Winter Olympics Wind Down in Milan

With the closing ceremony approaching in Milan, Team USA is making every moment count—adding two more medals on the sliding track and setting up showdowns in two of the Winter Games' biggest events.

Elana Meyers Taylor, 41, finally broke through for her first Olympic gold in her fifth Games. The win gives her six career medals, tying her with speed skater Bonnie Blair as the most decorated American woman in Winter Olympics history.

Teammate Kaillie Humphries joined her on the podium, taking home bronze for her fifth Olympic medal.

Meanwhile, the American women's hockey team has been untouchable in Milan. They battered Sweden 5-0 in the semifinals, setting up a gold medal match against archrival Canada—exactly the finish fans hoped for.

And the ice isn't done delivering drama. The women's figure skating singles competition begins tonight, with Americans Amber Glenn, Isabeau Levito, and reigning world champion Alysa Liu all taking the ice. Each has a legitimate shot at the podium.
