Ash Wednesday Marks Beginning of Lent Across the Valley

Today marks Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Christian season of Lent. Churches across the Coachella Valley, including Sacred Heart, are holding services and offering the traditional imposition of ashes. The ashes symbolize repentance and human mortality.
