Stocks rise Wednesday as Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all post gains

Stocks moved higher Wednesday on Wall Street, with all three major indexes posting gains by the close of trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished at 49,662.66, up 129.47 points, or 0.26 percent.

The S&P 500 also climbed, ending the day at 6,881.31. That’s an increase of 38.09 points, or 0.56 percent.

The Nasdaq led the major indexes with the strongest gains. It rose 175.25 points to close at 22,753.63, marking a 0.78 percent increase.

The positive movement across the board reflects continued investor confidence and steady momentum in the broader market.
