Olive Crest Desert Communities Hosts ‘Power of One’ Dinner to Support At-Risk Youth
Olive Crest Desert Communities held its annual “Power of One” fundraising dinner at Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, featuring a reception, live auction, and dinner to raise funds for vulnerable youth and families. Organizers say the event supports safe housing, counseling, and education services aimed at preventing child abuse and strengthening families.
This year’s keynote speaker, Alia Azariah, shared her experience as a survivor of human trafficking and spoke about the importance of community involvement in protecting children from exploitation. She emphasized that trafficking is not just an online or foster care issue, but a broader community problem that requires early intervention and support for families with unmet needs.
Olive Crest says the annual fundraiser plays a vital role in sustaining programs that assist thousands of local children and families each day.
