Road Improvement Project to Begin in Rancho Mirage
A road improvement project designed to reduce blowing sand and improve traffic safety is set to begin Monday in Rancho Mirage.
The project includes road widening and fence installation along Ramon Road between Los Alamos Road and Bob Hope Drive. Construction is expected to continue through early May.
Closures will affect the westbound outside lane of Ramon Road from Bob Hope Drive to Los Alamos Road, as well as the southbound outside lane of Bob Hope Drive from the Interstate 10 off-ramp to Ramon Road.
City officials say the upgrades are intended to cut down on blowing dust, improve air quality, and ease traffic flow in the area. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes while construction is underway.
