Tree Falls on Guests at Disneyland During Powerful Southern California Winter Storm

Powerful winds from a winter storm caused a frightening moment at Disneyland Resort when a tree toppled onto guests late Tuesday night.

Park officials say the tree fell around 11:40 p.m. onto the patio area of the Plaza Inn, located just off Main Street U.S.A. near the park entrance. Due to rainy conditions, no guests were seated on the patio at the time. However, two visitors who were nearby were struck by branches and sustained minor injuries.

According to park officials, both guests were treated on-site by first aid teams and later released. Witnesses described hearing a loud cracking sound moments before the tree came crashing down.

One couple said they were preparing for a Valentine’s Day photo when the incident happened. They credited quick action by park medics for helping them immediately and said they plan to follow up with doctors as a precaution.

Despite the scare, the couple said the experience will not keep them from returning to the park in the future.

Disneyland crews removed the fallen tree overnight, and officials have not reported any additional damage or injuries. The incident happened as strong winds and rain swept across Southern California, creating hazardous conditions in several areas.
