La Quinta Mayor Linda Evans Highlights Community Support at Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards in Palm Springs

The celebration continues tonight at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, where community leaders and supporters are gathering at the Palm Springs Convention Center to celebrate philanthropy and healthcare in the Coachella Valley.

Reporting live from the orange carpet, NBC Palm Springs’ Thalia Hayden welcomed Linda Evans, Mayor of La Quinta and Chief Strategy Officer for Desert Care Network, who shared her enthusiasm for the annual event and its impact on local health services.

Evans says Desert Care Network is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor, noting the organization has contributed nearly $8 million over the years to support DAP Health programs and initiatives. She emphasized the importance of collaboration between healthcare providers and community partners to strengthen the region’s safety net and expand access to care.
