Palm Springs Cultural Center Honors Catherine O’Hara with Four-Film Tribute Series at Historic Camelot Theatre

The Palm Springs Cultural Center is honoring the life and legacy of Catherine O’Hara with a special four-film tribute series celebrating her unforgettable work in film and television.
Titled “Catherine O’Hara: Simply the Best,” the series begins March 4 — O’Hara’s birthday — and continues on select Wednesdays through April at the Cultural Center’s Historic Camelot Theatre. The tribute follows the recent loss of the beloved comedy icon and offers fans an opportunity to celebrate her enduring impact on screen.
Each evening will begin with curated highlights from Schitt’s Creek, followed by a feature film showcasing one of O’Hara’s standout performances. The screening schedule includes:
March 4 — Best in Show
March 18 — Beetlejuice
April 1 — After Hours
April 15 — Waiting for Guffman
Doors open at 6 p.m. with a curated pre-show, Schitt’s Creek highlights begin at 6:30 p.m., and the featured film starts at 7 p.m.
Series programmer Lauren Wolfer says the tribute is meant to bring the community together to celebrate O’Hara’s legacy and the characters audiences continue to love.
The Palm Springs Cultural Center, a nonprofit arts organization, presents year-round programming including film events, live performances, art installations, and cultural experiences designed to connect and inspire the community.
