Salton City Community Holds Vigil for T'Neya Tovar as Suspect Appears in Court

Community members gathered Sunday outside a Salton City home to honor 17-year-old T'Neya Tovar, who was reported missing in early December before investigators discovered her remains near the Salton Sea. The vigil was held on Harlequin Court—directly outside the residence of 51-year-old Abraham Feinbloom, the man now charged with her murder. Feinbloom's home was the last place T'Neya was seen alive, according to investigators.

This morning, Feinbloom is set to appear at the Imperial County Superior Court for a preliminary hearing. He remains in custody without bail on one count of murder with a firearm enhancement. Feinbloom previously pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on February 18.

T'Neya's mother, Charro Tovar, first reported her daughter missing on December 1, 2025, after the teen stopped answering calls and turned off her phone's location, sparking a month's long search. Authorities with the FBI and the Imperial County Sheriff's Department say they searched Feinbloom's Salton City residence multiple times before discovering some of T'Neya's remains less than a mile from the home.

Investigators arrested Feinbloom on February 13 at his home on suspicion of murder and resisting a police officer. Court records show he previously faced felony kidnapping charges that were dismissed in 2019 and was arrested in 2016 on suspicion of lewd acts upon a child.

The FBI continues to ask anyone with information about the case to contact authorities.
