Jerry Steffen brought the fun to NBC Palm Springs this morning with another edition of Hashtag Holiday Calendar Pop Quiz, and this February 23rd is packed with celebrations worth knowing about!
The day kicks off with Pinocchio Day, marking the 86th anniversary of the beloved 1940 Walt Disney animated classic about everyone's favorite wooden puppet with the growing nose. The film was based on an 1883 Italian novel that has captured hearts for generations.
Hungry yet? It's also National Banana Bread Day—the perfect excuse to rescue those brown, mushy bananas from the trash and transform them into something delicious. And for sports fans still riding the Olympic high, today celebrates Curling is Cool Day, honoring that mesmerizing ice sport that had viewers glued to their screens over the past two weeks.
But the real star of today's quiz? National Tootsie Roll Day! That iconic chewy chocolate candy has been around since 1896, and Jerry put the team's knowledge to the test with two tricky trivia questions.
