Desi Strong Run/Walk for Kids Returns This Saturday

The 8th annual Desi Strong Run/Walk 4 Kids takes place this Saturday, Feb. 28, at Rancho Mirage Community Park, bringing together families to support local children battling pediatric cancer.

Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. at 71560 San Jacinto Drive, with music and stretching at 7 a.m. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. and will be chip timed this year. A family bubble run kicks off immediately after the 5K wraps up.

Entry is free, though organizers are asking for donations to participate in the main 5K race. The morning will also feature games, vendors, food, and activities for families. The event is pet-friendly.

The Desi Strong Foundation is a Coachella Valley nonprofit formed in 2016 that provides assistance to local families fighting pediatric cancer and donates to pediatric cancer research.
