Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Close Higher on Tuesday, February 24

All three major stock indexes closed higher Tuesday as Wall Street posted gains across the board.

At the closing bell in New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished at 49,174.50, up 0.76 percent.

The S&P 500 closed at 6,890.07, gaining 0.77 percent.

The Nasdaq Composite led the day’s gains, rising 1.04 percent to close at 22,863.68.

Investors continue to monitor economic data, corporate earnings and broader market trends as February trading winds down.
