Free Medical, Dental and Vision Care Comes to Indio Polo Grounds This Weekend
Thousands of Coachella Valley residents will have access to free healthcare this week as the 2026 Coachella Valley Clinic, presented by Goldenvoice, returns to the desert. NBC Palm Springs’ Mary Strong sat down with Rudy Morales, co chair of the clinic, and Roqui Galindo, a staff volunteer, to learn more about the impact the clinic continues to have on the community. The free clinic runs February 27 through March 1 at the Empire Polo Grounds, offering no cost medical, dental, and vision services to the public. Organizers say the event is designed to help anyone who may be uninsured, underinsured, or unable to afford routine healthcare.
Morales says year after year the clinic sees a tremendous need in the Coachella Valley, with thousands of residents relying on the services for preventative care, urgent medical needs, and vision and dental treatment. He says the clinic helps fill critical gaps in access to healthcare across the region.
Galindo, who volunteers with the clinic, says she has seen firsthand the relief and gratitude from patients as they receive care they might otherwise go without. She says for many, the clinic is more than just healthcare. It is a lifeline. Clinic organizers encourage people to arrive early and be prepared for wait times, though no appointments are required. Parking is available on site, and patients do not need insurance or documentation to receive care.
Those who may be hesitant are urged to take advantage of the opportunity. Organizers stress the services are completely free and available to anyone in need and if you are a Veteran, you don't have to wait in line.
