Speaking with Manny the Movie Guy, Chopra Jonas shared that the role resonated with her on a personal level. As a mother herself, she said understanding that protective instinct helped shape her performance. She described that emotional connection as her “North Star” while filming.
Opposite her is Karl Urban as Captain Connor, a man driven by revenge tied to a betrayal from years past. Urban explained that even in playing a ruthless character, it’s essential to understand the motivations and tragedy that drive him. He described the film as a “love story with the volume turned up,” balancing intimate character moments with large-scale action and stunt choreography.
Set against a rugged maritime backdrop, The Bluff offers dramatic performances alongside intense fight sequences and sweeping ocean visuals. With pirates, betrayal, and redemption at its core, the film aims to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
