Free Dental, Vision and Medical Clinic at Empire Polo Club in Indio Through March 1
A free health clinic is now underway at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, offering dental, vision and medical services to the community through March 1.
The event is staffed by California Care Force and operates daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Organizers say the clinic is designed to serve individuals who may not have had access to healthcare for years.
Services include dental X-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions. Vision exams are also available, and prescription glasses are made onsite. In addition, medical screenings are being offered to evaluate and triage patients who may be living with untreated conditions.
Healthcare providers say they are seeing patients who have not visited a doctor in five or six years. Some are arriving with dangerously high blood sugar levels, sometimes in the 300s, 400s or even 500s, and elevated blood pressure readings of 180 over 100 or higher, often without taking medication. Stabilizing potentially life-threatening conditions is a key part of the clinic’s mission.
California Care Force encourages anyone in need to stop by before the clinic wraps up. Officials stress that no paperwork or identification is required to receive care, removing barriers for those who may otherwise avoid treatment.
Organizers say the goal is simple: provide immediate help and connect patients with the care they need moving forward.
