Palm Springs International Film Society Opens Applications for ShortFest Curator Fellowship for Young Adults
Applications are now open for the ShortFest Curator Fellowship, an immersive program led by the Palm Springs International Film Society that gives young adults a behind-the-scenes look at one of the region’s most celebrated film events.
The fellowship invites participants ages 18 to 25 to work closely with the programming team for Palm Springs International ShortFest, offering firsthand experience in how films are reviewed, selected and presented to audiences.
Organizers say fellows will gain practical insight into the film festival process while building professional connections within the industry. The program is designed to help participants better understand both the creative and business sides of cinema.
Participants will also learn how film festivals operate on a broader scale, providing valuable exposure for aspiring filmmakers, film students and anyone interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
Leaders with the Palm Springs International Film Society describe the fellowship as a unique opportunity to explore the art of storytelling while gaining real-world experience in film programming and festival operations.
Officials encourage interested applicants to apply early, noting the competitive nature of the program and the valuable mentorship and networking opportunities it provides.
